First one appeared, then another, and another, and now another. In total, at the Escuela Normal Superior en Lenguas Vivas school in the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires, four scorpions appeared in a short time.

For this reason, on the morning of this Wednesday, the educational community held an assembly to demand that measures be taken and that training be done to know what to do in case of bites.

This week they found a scorpion in the toy drawer of the 3-year-old room in the Garden. The finding is the fourth in a month and raises concerns. Despite the request to suspend classes for proper fumigation, the activity was not postponed and the school still opens its doors.

The three previous times the scorpions had been found in the secondary level. One of them, the students recorded a video and sent it to the Malbrán Institute for analysis.

“The sting of these scorpions can be dangerous, especially in the elderly, children or people with basic health problems (hypertensive, heart disease, etc.) in whom medical attention must be carried out more urgently than in an adult in good condition of health”, expressed the health authorities.

“We ask for deep cleaning, removal of debris, fumigation and monitoring of recommended protocols,” they expressed from the cooperative.
