The President of the Nation, Alberto Fernández, today swore in the new Chief of Staff, Agustín Rossi, this afternoon at the Casa Rosada Bicentennial Museum, and highlighted his “profound gratitude”, after the departure of the outgoing coordinating minister Juan Manzur.

“I know that it is someone who, like me, values the unity of our space very much and is going to work together with me to preserve that unity,” said the president about the new chief of staff with whom they share a “friendship” that goes back to the campaign times of former president Néstor Kirchner.

Fernández acknowledged that he was “happy” that the official was once again “glued to his office” in the Casa Rosada, after serving as controller of the Federal Intelligence Agency (AFI).

On the other hand, he expressed his “deep gratitude” to Juan Manzur and defined him as a “friend” who “put his chest to the bullets” and “helped a lot” in the management. In addition, he highlighted – with emotion – the presence at the event of the head of the Grandmothers of Plaza de Mayo, Estela de Carlotto, and former judge Carlos Arslanian, a member of the court that sentenced the Military Juntas.
