The four rooms of today’s Casa E Borrero reopened their doors from Thursday to Sunday with the best theatrical performances in the city. The musical What happens in the bar stays in…, which is presented in the Cabaret room, is the jewel of this comeback. A show with the best rock songs in Spanish directed by Alejandra herself.
The Arquímedes principle, at the Arlequín theater, Liss Pereira’s stand-up The Promised Future and ¿Another coffee?, at the Buenaventura room, complete the offer. Also, for the first time, the place is the venue for some events and films from the Film Festival for Human Rights.
I feel that this house is the materialization of the fighting spirit that has characterized it…
I think so. Sometimes I wonder why I’m doing this again, I’m already grown up, I should rest (laughs). But here I am again. It is that my love for art is very great, I could not allow a place like Casa E to end, which has been so important for art in Bogotá, that it broke the conventional way of seeing theater, where we have done work to be able to have to all the actors and directors, where we gave Colombian theater a space so that it could grow. This space is essential for theater and art in this country. And we will continue to fight.
