Mexico City.- A federal judge linked Alejandro del Valle de la Vega, Executive President of the Board of Directors of Interjet, to the process for an alleged tax fraud of more than 12 million pesos.
The control judge of the Federal Criminal Justice Center of the North Prison concluded that the Office of the Attorney General of the Republic (FGR) presented sufficient evidence to presume that in this matter there is the crime of equal tax fraud and the possibility that the accused have committed it.
The Prosecutor’s Office reported that Del Valle will carry out this process in freedom, since the precautionary measures imposed by the judge in the case are to go to sign every month at the Justice Center, not to leave the country and the delivery of his passport.
The justice administrator also set four months for the complementary investigation, a period in which both the FGR and the accused will gather their respective test data.
For Del Valle, this is the third accusation that has been prosecuted against him -although apparently not all of them are still in process-, but the tax fraud case is the first of a federal nature.
On September 9, 2021, Polanco was arrested and imprisoned in the South Prison, for an alleged fraud of 695 million pesos, related to the purchase of shares of Grupo Radiópolis.
On December 1 of the same year, he left jail, but was apprehended again on May 6, 2022 at the Mexico City International Airport for the crimes of family violence and sexual abuse of his two minor children.
This time he was admitted to the North Prison, from where he was released on October 15, apparently for winning an amparo ruling.
In the third and last accusation, for tax fraud, the businessman’s arrest warrant was no longer requested but the summons for him to appear before a judge. In this case he was prosecuted without compromising his freedom.
