The Region has been moved since yesterday by the death of a prestigious doctor from Berisso. This Thursday the death of Alfredo Zanaroni, who was director of the Mario Larrain Hospital in the neighboring city, was announced, for which the networks were loaded with messages of pain for his departure.
Zanaroni was a gynecologist who suffered a cardiac arrest while practicing one of his favorite sports: golf. The professional, who was 64 years old, was recognized for his work, but also for his public management during 2015 and 2019, since he was part of the team that designed a project that demanded 40 million pesos for reforms and construction from the Berissense hospital. They also assure that he privileged the inclusion of more personnel and established the medical guard.
His relatives told EL DIA that he had about 16,000 deliveries to his credit and that he was a “sick” gymnastics fan. They described him as a “friend of friends” and an excellent professional, as well as being a “wonderful” person.
“Bebe”, as they called him, was married to Susana, with whom he had his only daughter, Juanita. “He was a very good father and very loved. Enviable as a person and professional,” he assured.
In social networks they echoed the pain that caused his death. On the official Twitter account of the Larrain Hospital they wrote: “From the Directorate we inform the death of our former Director, Dr. Alfredo Zanaroni. We express deep pain and accompany his family and friends in this difficult moment.”
For its part, the Berisso Medical Association expressed that it “says goodbye with deep pain to Dr. ALFREDO ZANARONI, the ‘Baby’ as we all knew him. Obstetrician and Gynecologist affiliated to our entity, Head of Duty on Thursdays at the Berisso Hospital later being its Executive Director from 2015 to 2019. On behalf of the CD, administrative staff and colleagues who are members of our Entity, we accompany their loved ones and friends at this painful moment, asking the Lord to light their way. Goodbye BABY… several generations of Berissenses mourn you and bid you farewell very sadly at your early departure”.
On Facebook, meanwhile, there were multiple dismissals. For example, the user Bárbara Toledo wrote: “Great doctor. Your Eminence, THANK YOU FOR SO MUCH. For taking care of me and also at the time of my first child carrying out my pregnancy.” Then he added: “How the day I told you I want a caesarean section and I was 20 years old and you told me you’re great, you can. Let’s use this resource in case of emergency, it’s more born today. And so it was, you gave me all the tools so that wherever it was I was going to do well. Both births were great. Thank you for that immense dedication and patience. Unique containment”.
For his part, Aníbal Amílcar Rúa expressed: “I am really shocked by the news of the death of Dr. Alfredo Zanaroni. It is very sad news for me and my family, since Dr. Zanaroni brought each of my four daughters into the world and has been my wife’s physician for many years.” He also maintained that “I remember with great affection the moments in which Dr. Zanaroni treated us in his office, always giving us his personalized attention, his experience and his great humanity. He was an exceptional doctor who cared not only about our physical health, but also for our emotional and spiritual well-being.
He also stressed that “he was an exceptional human being. He always had a smile on his face, a positive attitude and a great willingness to help others. He always took the time to listen and understand our concerns, and offered his help and advice on in a clear and compassionate manner. His departure has left a huge void in our lives, and his legacy as a doctor and as a person will always be remembered with great affection and gratitude. I send his family and team my deepest condolences, and I hope may they find solace in the fact that Dr. Zanaroni has left an indelible mark on the lives of so many people, including mine”.
