The wilayas concerned by this “Orange” vigilance level BMS are: Algiers, Blida, Boumerdès, Tizi Ouzou, Béjaïa, Jijel, Skikda, Annaba and El-Tarf.

In addition, the estimated rainfall amounts will vary between 20 and 40 mm, possibly reaching or locally exceeding 50 mm during this BMS which runs from Wednesday at 9 p.m. to Friday at 6 a.m., specifies the same source.

When will the snow return?

In addition, the National Office of Meteorology (ONM) announces that snowfalls will affect, Thursday and Friday, the reliefs reaching or exceeding 900 meters in altitude of several wilayas of the Center-East and the East of the country, in a Special Weather Bulletin (BMS), issued on Wednesday.

This “Orange” vigilance level BMS will concern the wilayas of: Boumerdès, Tizi-Ouzou, Béjaïa, Jijel, Bouira, Bordj Bou Arreridj, Sétif, Batna, Khenchela, Tébessa and Oum El Bouaghi.

The snow depth is estimated between 10 and 15 cm during the validity of the BMS which will be valid from Thursday February 9 at 6 a.m. to Friday February 10 at 12 p.m., specifies the same source.

The snowfalls will also affect Blida, Médéa, Skikda, Mila, Constantine and Guelma, according to the same source, which estimates the snow depth between 5 and 10 cm during the validity of this BMS which runs from Thursday at 3 p.m. Friday at 12 p.m.
