The rains and snow will continue to affect several wilayas in the north of the country, for this Saturday, January 28, 2023.

The National Meteorological Office (ONM) has issued a special weather report (BMS), for rains sometimes in the form of thundery showers, accompanied by hailstorms in places and gusts of wind under thunderstorms, will continue to affect several wilayas in the north of the country until Saturday evening.
With forecast rainfall amounts estimated between 20 and 40 mm, which can reach or exceed locally 50 mm.

The wilayas concerned by this Orange vigilance BMS are Chlef, Ain Defla, Tipaza, Algiers, Boumerdès, Tizi Ouzou, Blida, Médéa, Béjaia, Jijel, Skikda, Annaba, El Tarf, Guelma and Souk Ahras.

The ONM also issued another BMS, level 2 for snowfall which will continue to affect the relief reaching or exceeding 900 meters above sea level until this evening.

The wilayas concerned by this BMS are: Tlemcen, Sidi Bel Abbès, Saïda, Naâma, El Bayadh, Tiaret, Tissemsilt, Laghouat, Djelfa, Médéa, Ain Defla, Blida, Boumerdès, Tizi-Ouzou, Bouira, Béjaïa, Jijel, Bordj Bou Arreridj, Sétif, Mila, Batna, Khenchela and Tébessa.

The weather will therefore remain overcast and cloudy over a large northern part of the country.

For the Saharan regions, over the oases and the north of the Eastern Sahara, we will note a fairly cloudy and generally clear sky over the other regions.

Finally, the average temperatures expected on this Saturday, January 28, 2023 remain cold, and will therefore fluctuate between 11 and 15°C in the coastal regions; between 03 and 14°C in the interior regions of the country and between 10 and 34°C in the Saharan regions.
