When will the rain return? This is the question that all Algerians ask themselves in the face of a winter of 2023 marked by only a few showers at the start of the year.

Indeed, for this Monday, January 16, 2023, good weather accompanied by a series of strong winds will be present in eight wilayas of Algeria.

In its vigilance map, the National Meteorology Office (ONM) places 8 wilayas of the country on yellow vigilance alert for strong winds. These are indeed the following wilayas: Algiers, Tipaza, Chlef, Mostaganem, Ain Temouchent, Tlemcen, Boumerdes and Oran. According to Météo Algérie, the validity of the alert will last from yesterday until Monday in the early evening.

What is the weather forecast for Algiers on January 16?

In addition to the 8 wilayas concerned by the yellow vigilance alert, in the coastal regions, in the north of Algeria, the meteorological office announced on Monday a completely clear sky in the center, including Algiers, to the east and partly blue in the west.

Inside the country, the same phenomenon is observed: a beautiful blue sky in the East. A completely blue sky will also be present in the West of Algeria, but with strong winds.

In the great Sahara, the wilayas of the west will experience a very blue sky, like Béchar, Adrar, Tindouf and, as well as in the east.

On the other hand, temperatures will experience a slight increase and will vary between 17 and 20 degrees on the coast, between 12 and 18 degrees in the wilayas of the interior, and between 15 and 23 degrees in the far south.
