Apart from the name, these turned out to be true since the Californian firm drew a third connected watch in its catalog: the Apple Watch Ultra. Given its name, this connected watch is not intended for the general public and is rather intended for high-level athletes. For professionals interested in this tocante, know that it is currently discounted at almost 10%.

A different style from other Apple Watch
Long leader in the connected watch market, Apple has decided to enter a more specific segment with its Watch Ultra. It targets athletes accustomed to extreme sports. To compete with the biggest, for example Garmin, the brand is reviewing the look of its wearable. It recovers the flagship design of smart watch Apple, but with a much larger format.
It must be said that the titanium case is 49 mm, a first on an Apple Watch – enough to impress once on the wrist. With such a large display area, users will be able to view more data such as calories burned, number of meters walked, heart rate, etc. The screen is pleasant to use on a daily basis, especially for the brightness which goes up to 2,000 nits and offers good readability. The Always-On mode is also in the game, but beware of autonomy.
Sports oriented
Designed for sportsmen and women, this Apple Watch is more resistant. It has a case protected by sapphire crystal to be ready for any eventuality, whether in the desert in 55 degrees, or on top of a mountain in -20 degrees. It is also IP6X certified for dust (and underwater up to 100 meters), and can even be used for scuba diving up to 40 meters. It is distinguished by the addition of a new button which will be used to activate quick controls (launch training instantly, for example). The Digital Crown is still there, but bigger. The GPS becomes more precise, as well as the compass with the possibility of placing markers and retracing your path.
As for autonomy, Apple promises 36 hours on a single charge and up to 60 hours with the energy saving mode, against 18 hours for normal. During our test, we were able to test it in different conditions, it was able to last 3 days and 11 hours with non-sports use. It comes far behind the Garmin fēnix 7 which reached 13 days of autonomy in our test, but has the merit of offering better autonomy than other Apple Watches.
