On December 24, 2023, the Lakewood Police Department issued an Amber Alert for 1-year-old Choice Walters. The police believe that the child’s mother, 29-year-old Ariel Walters, is a suspect in the kidnapping.
Police have also issued an arrest warrant for Ariel Walters in connection with the stabbing of the child’s father at Cove Park in Lakewood.
According to the police, Ariel Walters stabbed her husband and then fled the scene with their daughter. The Amber Alert was issued after the child was last seen on Clifton Boulevard on Sunday around 2 AM. Choice Walters has brown eyes and brown hair.
Police said a warrant for attempted aggravated murder has been issued for Ariel Monae Walters in connection with the stabbing in a Lakewood park.
An Ambert Alert was issued around noon Sunday when the incident happened, police said.
Authorities said the suspect usually takes Uber and that police made phone contact with her, but she “refuses to cooperate.” Police said the child can be heard in the background.
