The Confederation of African Football has just sanctioned the Espérance de Tunis team after the unfortunate incidents of violence and vandalism that took place after the match of EST against JS Kabylie.

In fact, after expressing its displeasure with the scenes of violence that took place in the Rades stadium in Tunis, the High African Football Authority struck with an iron fist to repress the acts that tarnished Esperance’s game against JSK.

Thus, the Sang et Or team was sentenced to 4 matches behind closed doors (including 2 suspended), accompanied by a fine of around 300,000 dollars.

In addition, the Tunisian team is at great risk if similar incidents happen again in the future. In this wake, CAF will ban the team from the Tunisian capital from all African competitions if similar incidents happen again.

These three measures come in response to the scenes of violence that marked the Champions League meeting between EST and JSK.

EST – JSK match incident: Tunisian justice catches up with vandal supporters

The scenes of vandalism which characterized the match of the EST team against JSK shocked more than one. Projectiles thrown at the police, stands on fire, uprooting of seats as well as fences and other surreal and unimaginable spectacles in a sports enclosure, these acts of violence were not to pass without consequences for the main actors.

Thus, we learn that, from now on, the police in Tunisia have managed to arrest 58 supporters of the team from the capital, including the famous man with the chainsaw.

The most significant scene of all acts of vandalism, this mind-boggling sequence made the rounds of the web and was widely disavowed.

For their part, the judicial authorities in Tunisia have ordered the opening of an investigation. It should be noted that 31 people have just been sentenced to prison terms by the Ben-Arros court in Tunisia.
