Amber Alert: Man wanted for alleged kidnapping of wife and baby in Lancaster

Authorities issued an amber alert early Monday to try to locate a man who allegedly kidnapped his wife and 2-month-old daughter.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department (LASD) said that Efraín Sánchez-Jiménez, 25, was armed and dangerous, and that his wife, Sabrina Sánchez, 31, left with the suspect “out of fear of your safety”.

“Suspect Sanchez had recently threatened to kill his wife and son, and is believed to be armed with a handgun,” the department said in a statement.

Sánchez-Jiménez also committed a sexual assault against a family member, according to LASD.

The suspect was last seen driving a silver 2007 Buick Lucerne with the Colorado license plate AUI-X94.

The alleged kidnapper is 5’8″ tall and 130 pounds with brown hair and eyes. He was last seen wearing a white tank top and silver shorts.

Investigators said the adult victim is 5’2” and weighs 135 pounds. She was last seen wearing a red/black dress.

Their 2-month-old baby, Itzel Sanchez, has brown hair and eyes, according to the LASD newsletter.

The amber alert was issued for Los Angeles, San Bernardino, Riverside, Orange, San Diego and Imperial counties.

Authorities urge the public to call 911 if they see the suspect or victims.
