According to an announcement on Facebook from the US Embassy, ​​​​it alerted applicants not to fall for scams by false managers who ask for money in exchange for an extension of the application payment, since this process is already free, according to the American entity platform.

In general, when you apply for a visa and make the payment, it is valid for one year after making the deposit, but due to the different suspensions made due to the pandemic that was experienced worldwide, the embassy extended the deadline until September 30, 2023.

According to the embassy, ​​the scammers are outside the Applicant Service Centers (CAS) and try to offer extensions and charge an amount for it, but this procedure has already been announced for free, so they only try to get money from people who are unaware of the publication.
