AMLO government boasts of credits in favor of tourism

Details the amounts allocated to infrastructures such as the Mayan train

The head of the Secretary of Tourism, Miguel Torruco Marqués, reported that the last five years, the Development Bank, granted credits for 156 thousand 809 million pesos, to support 4 thousand 410 companies to promote the development of the tourism industry in Mexico .

When presenting recognitions to the Development Banking institutions, Torruco Marqués specified that, of this total, Trusts Established in Relation to Agriculture (Fira), granted 6 thousand 165 million pesos to 955 companies, while Bancomext-Nafin benefited with 150 thousand 644 million pesos to 3 thousand 455 tourist companies, as reported by Fortuna Magazine.

The official recognized the inter-institutional collaboration of Bancomext-Nafin; fair; Goal; the National Fund for the Promotion of Tourism (Fonatur); the Fund for Social Development of the Government of Mexico City (Fondeso); the CAF Development Bank of Latin America and the Caribbean; for promoting products and services with a view to the growth of the tourism sector.

The leader of the Sectur recalled that, in total, tourist investment, public and foreign in Mexico, amounts to 547 thousand 910.8 million pesos. He specified that, during this administration, resources have been allocated in favor of tourism such as 247 thousand 254 million pesos for the tourist infrastructure project, the Mayan Train; 95 thousand 465 million pesos for improvement and construction of airports; 35 thousand 696 million pesos in construction of highways to tourist destinations, among others.
