Currently the trend is increasingly clear, the hyperrealistic images created by Artificial intelligence they’re becoming more common, so it seems like the sky’s the limit for any creator looking to create their own movie, game, or other content from scratch.

And we must admit that Unreal Engine 5has been a very useful free-to-use linear content creation tool for artists, so much so that it has even become one of the most popular tools in this new landscape.

A tool with which games like The Matrix Awakens, Tekken 8 and the Witcher remake are being built. But UE is also great at creating gorgeous movies, as shown by a 3D artist in a movie that’s almost indistinguishable from reality.

The film in question is a two-minute video of Youtube where the artist 3Dystopia, and the creator commented: “Uploading the real world to Unreal Engine 5 to create a super small metaverse. A short video but a long process based on 1500 photographs to recreate the alley. Complete photogrammetry from 6k videos. I think that’s what the metaverse should look like a few years from now if a company decides to put the work into that challenge.”

At 14 seconds, we can see the logo of Unreal Engine in the top right corner of the screen, but that’s the only indication that the location is now spawning instead of being saved, that and some strange objects appearing and disappearing on ledges.

“Brother, this is really crazy. If it wasn’t for the movement I couldn’t have told the difference,” one commenter responded, while another added: “This is too real dammit.”

With the Unreal Engine recreating real-world locations in such amazing detail, the apps for movies and games are amazing, especially with advances in VR technology.
