The universe of Made in Abyss, adaptation of the manga of the same name by Akihito Tsukushi, will continue with new stories on the small screen. The announcement came at a special event held for the anime where it was confirmed that there will be a third season. At the moment there are still no details on the plot that will be told, but it is very probable that there will be original content: the two seasons have already staged a large part of the manga’s narrative arc.
The Made in Abyss anime will have a sequel
The manga of Made in Abyss is written and drawn by Akihito Tsukushi and posted online at the site Manga Life Win by Takeshobo from 2012. The first volume tankōbon was released on July 31, 2013. In Italy Made in Abyss is published by J-POP. The first season of the anime, consisting of 13 episodes, was created by the Kinema Citrus studio and broadcast in Japan in 2017. In Italy it arrived on VVVVID and on Prime Video. The first season was summed up in two films released at the cinema: Tabidachi no Yoakereleased in Japan on January 4, 2019 and Horo Suru Tasogare which premiered on January 18, 2019. A sequel film, Dawn of the Deep Soul (Fukaki Tamashii no Reimei) was released in Japan on January 17, 2020.
