The Municipality will hold this Thursday a new edition of “Tales under the moonlight” at the Malvinas Islands Cultural Center with Latin American narrators. The event will take place from 8:00 p.m. in the space located at 19 and 50 with free admission.

The cycle is part of the program “Cultural Nights” promoted by the Commune. On this occasion, the oral storytelling show will be led by Nerit Olayaof PeruY Marko Mosqueraof Colombiaunder the coordination of claudio ledesma.

“What I like the most when telling is the communion with the public; sharing that space, time, emotions and feelings”said Olaya, who will offer texts by famous writers such as Mario Benedetti, Julio Cortazar, Jorge Luis Borges, angeles mastretta and Isabel Allende.

For his part, Mosquera explained that it is based on the oral tradition of the Colombian Pacific. “Because I am Pacific, because I am sea, because I am sand, because I am water, because I am Afro-descendant and all those sounds, those flavors and those smells are worth telling around the world,” he said.

The “Tales under the moonlight” began in January and found a good response from the public. For this reason, the Municipality recommends attending 20 minutes before the start to find a good location. Neighbors can also bring their own deck chairs or tarpaulins to enjoy the show, which is not canceled due to rain.
