After Mauricio Martínez gave his testimony about an alleged sexual harassment who suffered at the hands of Antonio Berumen, more people have decided to tell their own experiences and present complaints against him. The case is still in process and this is what you should know about it.

For his part, Mauricio Martínez is a successful performer who became the fifth Mexican to star in a musical on Broadway. In addition, he has been part of soap operas such as “Dare to dream” and series such as “Señora Acero”.
THE NUMBER OF COMPLAINTS OF A SEXUAL NATURE RECEIVED BY ANTONIO BERUMEN
In total, 10 different complaints have been filed for rape, attempted rape and sexual abuse. Most of these entered in 2022, shortly after Mauricio Martinez recounted what he had to go through twenty years ago, where he held Antonio Berumen responsible.
Although the actor’s case has expired and it is not possible to proceed legally, other victims have come forward. Currently, there is a case that is in the Mexico City Prosecutor’s Office that reached its second hearing on Monday, February 13 and where Berumen was absent again.
THE PUBLIC COMPLAINT OF MARIANO MARTÍNEZ
Mauricio Martínez made his complaint to Antonio Berumen public through his Twitter account, where he wrote a long thread recounting the experience he lived through. According to what he said, he was inspired to reveal the facts after Sasha Sokol spoke about the grooming that she experienced from Luis de Llano, when she was only 14 and he was 39 years old.
The Mexican actor said that he had just returned to Mexico and was looking to fulfill his dreams, for which he needed a representative. For this reason, she met him in his office, which was inside his house, and that was where he was harassed.

“I came out quite nervous and sang. He told me “you are very tense; Why don’t you take a bath?” My stomach turned. In that he wanted to massage my neck and in the blink of an eye, his hand was already where he didn’t have to be. I pushed him, I lied to his mother and ran awayMartinez began.
Some time later, he would have met Berumen on a flight, where the manager was traveling with one of his youth groups.
“He didn’t speak to me the entire flight. He could cut the air with a knife. And thank God today I am far away and in a stage of my life in which that is just a bad memory. But I invite those who have been victims of sexual abuse to report it”.
