jennifer zippsjudge of the District Court of Arizona, issued an injunction against the so-called Law to Save Women’s Sports so that transgender people can participate in women’s sports competitions that are discussed in schools.

In her brief, Judge Zipps noted:

The plaintiffs will also suffer severe and irreparable mental, physical, and emotional harm if the law is applied to them because they cannot play on boys’ sports teams. Playing on a men’s team would be in direct contradiction to the plaintiffs’ medical treatment for gender dysphoria and would be painful and humiliating. The plaintiffs’ mental health depends on them living like girls in all aspects of their lives.

This judicial decision is not final, since the last word will be the united states supreme court. A resource to be welcomed Tom HorneArizona Superintendent of Public Instruction, who opposes the sentence:

We will appeal this ruling. Ultimately, the decision will be made by the Supreme Court of the United States, which will rule in our favor. The plaintiffs in this case claimed that this only affects prepubescent boys, but we present peer-reviewed studies showing that prepubescent boys have an advantage over girls in sports. The only expert brought forward by the plaintiffs was a doctor who makes a living doing gender transition treatments on children and who has exactly zero peer-reviewed studies to support his opinion.

Former Governor of Arizona Doug Ducey promulgated the Law to Save Women’s Sports in 2022 after receiving the approval of the Legislative Assembly.
