Despite the increase in incidents in the air space for the detection of UFOs (Unidentified Flying Objects), the Secretary of National Defense (Sedena) and the federal government They refuse to provide detailed information. to the Congress of the Union and to individuals who have requested — in different years — this type of alerts that they have compiled in the last decades.

Citizens, civil organizations and even civil organizations have demanded —by means of information requests— that the Armed Forces give a detailed report of this type of aircraft that have flown over the Mexican sky and that have even been national security alert signals; However, the Sedena has refused to provide this information.

This becomes relevant after this week the Chamber of Deputies approved the militarization of the Mexican sky and gave up the absolute control of operations to the Sedenathis under the argument of the “multiple irregularities” that exist in the sky, such as pilots with false licenses and who carry out transfers in private planes, as well as unidentified objects that fly over the airspace.

For this reason, the National Institute of Transparency, Access to Information and Protection of Personal Data (Inai) has ruled so that the corresponding authorities provide the requested information, in an exercise of access to citizen information as it is a matter of public interest and in the face of constant refusals to deliver the requested records.

And it is that in the last ten years, the National Transparency Platform (PNT) has received numerous requests from individuals to the agencies to explain themselves about these UFOs, but the Armed Forces have only limited themselves to confirming their presence and have not provided any report on it, considering these documents as “classified”; in other cases it alleges that they are not empowered to respond to these questions.

For example, in February 2019, through the PNT, a citizen prepared a request for information that was addressed to the Services for Navigation in the Mexican Air Space (SENEAM), in which he requested a recording from 1975 that was captured by the air traffic of Mexico City a signal from a pilot who reported irregularities in the command of the ship; However, the body of the then Secretary of Communications and Transportation declared the information non-existent, despite the fact that said event was confirmed by the local authorities at that time.

UFOs

“The plane is apparently flying alone: someone is controlling it, I don’t know. I was flying from Zihuatanejo, I checked Tequesquitengo, I’m going to Mexico City. My present altitude is fifteen thousand feet, the plane is completely level, straight and level, I am established in radial 004 of Tequesquitengo”, refers to the request for transparency.

Meanwhile, during the three years: 2019, 2020 and 2021, various requests have been filed with the Armed Forces, as well as with the Mexican Space Agency and the Federal Civil Aviation Agency to make known the sightings they have had regarding these unrecognized artifacts. In response, the federal agency and the agencies have acknowledged these operations, although they have detailed that, as they are issues considered to be of “National security” they cannot be made known to the general public or through this platform.

The most recent case was the controversy unleashed by Jaime Maussan, who publicized on his social networks the request he submitted to the Secretary of National Defense for a video dating from 2004, in which a plane from the Mexican Air Force registered a string of lights during a flyover over the surroundings of Campeche.

The government agency confirmed through a response on the platform that the material was delivered to Maussan, through the request with page 0000700052206 and others with number 0000700049204, in which it is declared that the video is original and which was also delivered to various research centers for their study, which generated a series of criticisms by academics and citizens.
