At the Ballermann people celebrate to music by Heino? What sounds strange at first could soon become true. The Schlager star releases a party album.

El Arenal – Schlager star Heino became known with hits like “Blue the gentian blooms” and “High on the yellow car”. But now the 84-year-old is venturing into unfamiliar musical territory: he also wants to win over the party crowd.

From folk music to party songs: Heino wants to conquer Ballermann

Keep making folk music? Probably not an option for Heino. In 2013 he already released the album “Best regards”, on which he hit unusual rock tones. Among other things, he covered songs by Die Ärzte and Rammstein. Now he has his sights set on a particularly popular genre: Ballermann music.

Heino releases new party album

The new record “Lieder meine Heimat” is to be released in August, according to the singer’s official website. However, what sounds like typical folk music is anything but that: He covers well-known party hits such as “Ten Naked Hairdressers” and “Go get a beer” by Ballermann star Mickie Krause – of course in the typical Heino way.

However, the musicians were not informed about the covers. But that’s not a problem for Mickie: “It makes me proud and happy that Heino sings ‘Ten Naked Hairdressers’,” he reveals RTL-Demand.

“Beautiful songs”: Heino covers well-known Ballermann hits

But what drives Heino to make party music now? “I’ve always done what I like and where I said: I could sing that too and I stand behind it,” he explained in an interview RTL. After all, according to the 84-year-old, “beautiful songs” are also hidden behind typical Ballermann songs.

It is uncertain whether Heino will also perform live at Ballermann, such as in Megapark or Bierkönig. But for the summer he prophesies: “I’ll probably make a big fuss with a band.” Only recently did the musician perform in the town of the same name Heino in the Netherlands – a dream came true for the residents.
