For Bastian Schweinsteiger the world is upside down today!

The football world champion hangs on the trapeze in Kai Pflaume’s TV show “Small vs. Big” (Saturday evening, 8:15 p.m., ARD) – and has to catch as many tennis balls as possible in 60 seconds, which his wife and ex-tennis professional Ana Ivanovic gave him passes.

In order to win the duel, it should be more than the two young challengers Katharina and Daniel can manage.

Schweinsteiger actually knows his way around balls. But over head and then so small they demanded hours of training from him.

And he hung on the trapeze for the first time on the day of the show. “Fortunately, it was a bit easier for me,” says Ana Ivanovic (35) with a grin to BILD am SONNTAG. “I’ve been practicing since I was five years old.”

So the big task in the duel against Katharina and Daniel was mainly with the ex-Bayern star. “The biggest challenge was just letting yourself fall, especially from such a height,” says Bastian Schweinsteiger. “Once you got past that point, it was really fun.”

In the end, everything went smoothly on the show. Perhaps also because the life of the family has of course often been turned upside down.

“There are a few situations,” says Ana Ivanovic. “I think the biggest change we’ve had so far is having our kids. Everything turns upside down from now on.”
