The bases of the National Championship were updated for this new season of Chilean football compared to the previous tournament, where one of the novelties has to do with the mid-year pass market where players can change clubs without having the need to add a certain number of minutes.
This weekend the new season of the 2023 National Championship began. A competition in which the new bases of the tournament were determined with respect to the last contest and where some changes were presented with respect to what was experienced during the past year in our national football.
A headache was the one that the national clubs had for the winter market to be able to add reinforcements to their squads looking at the rest of the clubs. It is that previously, those players who aroused the interest of other casts depended on the number of minutes they added throughout the first semester of Chilean soccer, which this year will not be the case.
The bases for the new season of the 2023 National Championship reached a new resolution regarding the point mentioned above. This has to do with article 16 of the document for the preparation of Chilean football, with which there will no longer be the need for players to meet the minute requirement to change clubs within the tournament.
This is how it is described within the documents of the bases of the contest, where it is indicated that “The clubs may register for the second round of the championship players who had been registered by another club in the first round of this”begin by explaining in article 16.
On the same measure, it is counted that “The employment contracts of professional soccer players that indicate the end of the 2023 season as the expiration date, They will keep their registration valid until the end of the last competition or official match of each club, for national or international tournaments of the 2023 season.”.
This way, It will no longer be necessary for football clubs to want to sign players from the local media and who have not complied with the 360 minutes requested in the previous championship. So for this season, they will be able to change clubs regardless of the amount of time played.
