White House spokeswoman Karine Jean-Pierre announced in a statement that Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese will make an official visit to the White House on October 25.
“President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden will host Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese for an official visit to the United States, including a State Dinner, on October 25, 2023,” the letter reads.
During this visit, both countries plan to strengthen their “deep and lasting” alliance, as well as the commitment of both to support an “open, stable and prosperous” Indo-Pacific region.
In that sense, the two leaders “will talk about strengthening collaboration on critical issues for both nations in order to ensure that the alliance is well equipped to respond to constantly evolving regional and global challenges.”
