The famous Nicaraguan popular festival starring the bulls that has filled the streets of Managua

The festivities include a massive procession with the venerated image, equestrian parades, popular contests, the blessing and sailing of the boat, dances and folk music.

The authorities of the Mayor’s Office Managua dozens of bulls were released in the streets to close the curtain on the largest popular festivals in Nicaragua in honor of Santo Domingo de Guzmán, which attract more people than those of the city’s patron saint, Santiago Apostle.

This celebration is a particularity of the festivities, since it takes place in a street with a closed circuit and money is awarded to those who manage to ride the animal for at least ten seconds.

Managua celebrates from August 1 to 10 the popular festivities in honor of Santo Domingo de Guzmán.

Thousands of Nicaraguans attend these festivities, whose beginnings date back to 1885, some paying homage to the image of the saint, considered miraculous, and others out of simple tradition or curiosity.
