Authorities find 41 migrants crowded into a house and a hotel in northern Mexico

Police in Nuevo León, Mexico, on the border with the United States, found 41 migrants in two different operations who were crowded into a home and a hotel room.the authorities reported.

Migrants come from Honduras, Guatemala, Cuba, El Salvador, Colombia and Ecuadorthe officials determined.

In the first mission, Officials from the State Investigation Agency (AEI) received an anonymous call about migrants in a house in the Fomerrey 115 Monterrey neighborhoodthe capital of Nuevo Leon.

When the detectives arrive, the people left the place, but they did not accredit their regular stay in the country, so they were taken to a delegation of the National Institute of Migration (IMM).

Among the group of 36 immigrants, there were nine men; three from Honduras, one from Guatemala, one from Cuba and four from El Salvador.

Likewise, eight women; two from El Salvador, four from Honduras, one from Ecuador and one from Colombia.

In addition, they found 19 minors; three from Guatemala, seven from El Salvador, seven from Honduras and two from Ecuador.

During the second operation, Officials discovered five migrants in a room at the Hotel La Mansión Villarrealin the center of Monterrey.

There were three men from Honduras and two from Ecuador.

All were transferred to the INM as they did not have documents proving their regular stay in Mexico.

On the other hand, on Thursday the case of two migrants who were found dead in the Coahuila desert while trying to reach the border with the United States.

This type of situation occurs in the midst of the rebound in the migratory flow through Mexico after the fall in principle caused by Title 42 in the month of May, according to the Mexican president, Andrés Manuel López Obrador.

The repeated findings of migrants in overcrowded conditions reflect the unprecedented flow in the region, with more than 2.76 million migrants apprehended by the United States at the border with Mexico during fiscal year 2022.
