Avatar 2 continues to bring crowds to theaters. So much so that the revenues garnered reach new heights. A month after its release, Avatar: The Way of the Water has just overtaken Jurassic World in the ranking of the most profitable films of all time.
James Cameron had already announced the color. Avatar 2 required such a large budget that it absolutely had to become the third or fourth highest-grossing film in cinema history. A very ambitious objective which is however on the right track. Two weeks after its release, Avatar 2 exceeded $1 billion in revenue. And the spectators continue to swarm in the rooms in the four corners of the world.
One month after its official launch, Avatar: The Way of the Water is getting closer and closer to the symbolic threshold of 2 billion. At the end of the weekend, he has accumulated precisely $1,708,089,379 in revenue, at the time of writing these lines. This allows him to overcome Jurassic World and thus climb to the seventh step of the ranking of the most profitable films of all time.
Avatar 2 close to 2 billion in revenue!
We can already be sure that it will surpass Spider-Man: No Way Home ($1,916,306,995). It will then become the most bankable film of the post-pandemic era.
