San Juan, May 6 (EFE).- The singer Bad Bunny demonstrated this Saturday that he has talent as a fighter by defeating Damian Priest in an exciting street fight, the stellar moment of the “Backlash” billboard organized by WWE in San Juan.

With a shopping cart full of chairs, sticks, chains and garbage can lids, traditional weapons of street fights, the Puerto Rican artist managed to prevail over the fighter of Puerto Rican descent in a confrontation at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico.

In front of a dedicated audience that chanted his first name Benito, shouted “I’m Puerto Rican so you know it” and booed Priest, Bad Bunny worked hard to win a fight that his opponent initially dominated.

They fought inside the ring and through the crowd, even landing on a table. At a time when Bad Bunny was going to hit Priest with a chair again, he begged him to stop, but it was only a trap to kick him in the face.

“I’m nervous,” the singer had acknowledged before going out to the ring to Rey Misterio, who together with Savio Vega and Carlitos Caribbean Cool helped Bad Bunny in part of their street fight.

Finally, with his victory, the public went crazy and applauded the singer without rest while he proudly walked around the ring with a Puerto Rican flag.

One day before the event, the urban exponent already warned Priest that he was going to “break his face”, after which the fighter pushed him and the singer responded by slapping him.

“Not only am I going to be a fan in the ring, but also breaking the face of Damian Priest’s bastard, just so you know,” he said.

Bad Bunny thus returned to the ring to face who was his partner in his first fight in WWE two years ago, when together they fought against The Miz and John Morrison.

“Backlash” is WWE’s first “premium” live event to take place at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico since January 2005.

Other matches that took place were between Cody Rhodes and Brock Lesnar; Rhea Ripley and Zelina Vega; Austin Theory, Bobby Lashley, and Bronson Reed; Seth “Freakin” Rollins and Omos; and Bianca Belair and Iyo Sky.

Vega came out wearing the Puerto Rican flag as a cape and received standing ovations, but it was Ripley who successfully defended the SmackDown Women’s World Championship.

For his part, Theory, young champion of the United States, did the same against two of the strongest fighters in the company: Lashley and Reed.
