A Bang & Olufsen unveiled a new speaker developed in collaboration with Danish-Italian design duo GamFratesi. The speaker goes by the name of Beosound 5 and has a different design than most other products in this area.
“Beosound A5 is our new high-end portable speaker that combines Bang & Olufsen’s long-standing approach to timeless design with our vision of sound for the future”says VP of Product Marketing Michael Henriksson. “We are excited to be collaborating with GamFratesi for the first time to create two loudspeaker designs that are rooted in a Scandinavian aesthetic with a distinctive design signature in their own right”.
The BeoSound A5 is available in two colours, one in natural aluminum with a woven paper fiber front with a light oak handle and the other in black anthracite aluminum paired with a dark oak wood cover and handle. The Beosound A5 handle lets you take it anywhere, with IP65 certification ensuring it stays safe from water and dust.
The Bang & Olufsen Beosound A5 can be used for approximately 12 hours before the battery needs to be recharged.
“Our inspiration for the Beosound A5 came from many places, including the iconic Beolit series, as well as natural materials synonymous with the colors and textures found in Scandinavian nature”says GamFratesi. “From the traditional straw hats of Panama worn on the beaches, to the hand-woven leather accents of Danish chairs from the 1960s, blends of experimentally applied natural materials guided our design journey”.
The Bang & Olufsen Beosound A5 can be found from this Thursday, April 27th, for 999 euros for the light version and 1,099 for the darker version. You can see above some images of this new brand column.
