SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — Joey Bart hit a routine fly ball that became a tiebreaking double, and the San Francisco Giants beat the Philadelphia Phillies 4-3 Tuesday night for their third straight loss.

With a runner on first and two out in the fourth, Zach Wheeler forced Bart to lob just behind first. First baseman Kody Clemens lost sight of the ball in the air.

Second baseman Bryson Stott slid in for the ball, to no avail. So, Casey Schmitt scored.

LaMonte Wade Jr. followed with an RBI single to give San Francisco a 4-2 lead.

Kyle Schwarber homered to center field with two out in the ninth to bring Philadelphia within one run. However, Camilo Doval struck out JT Realmuto for his 10th save in 11 chances.

Taylor Rogers (1-2) worked out a scoreless inning with two strikeouts for the win. The setback was for Wheeler (3-3), despite eight strikeouts in six innings, during which he allowed four runs, nine hits and a walk.

For the Phillies, no Latin Americans hit.

For the Giants, Venezuelan Thairo Estrada 4-1 with an RBI.
