Pokémon is always an excellent IP for cosplays, both for the historical protagonists and the antagonists, as the Jessie cosplay by the beautiful and talented Daria Kulikova has shown us, proving that Jessie is the true glamorous star of the series. .
The model does a rather quirky take on the character, but her traits aren’t that far removed from the original, considering Team Rocket’s Jessie is still a very quirky person, just like her teammates.
The historical “villain” of the series is shown here in a quite customized version, with a look revised in more sensual terms, the Russian Daria Kulikova is presented with a costume that has the basic characteristics of the original, but that is in several aspects it is more provocative, without losing too much of the plot, with excellent results.
The fiery red hair is there (although the originals are perhaps more purple), the clothing is basically the same, albeit a bit skimpier than the original, and there’s also the ever-present Pokéball to tie in with more classic Pokémon lore.
In short, the ingredients are canonical, but the overall result is something quite different and strongly characterized, and therefore very interesting to watch.
