Preliminary data handled by the CAIJ indicate that by this date they expect to sell cheap toys and have an average ticket of $1,450 per gift, while 85% of transactions in toy stores are currently carried out with bank promotions.

Julián Benítez, manager of institutional relations of the CAIJ, said that “Reyes is the third most important date of the year after Children’s Day and Christmas.”
“We had a Christmas with a slight setback because although the World Cup gave us enormous joy, people were thinking about the World Cup; sales fell 5% in units compared to last Christmas,” he said.
In statements to Radio 10, he maintained that “a phenomenon occurred in addition to the World Cup, which is that we saw a lot of informal commerce on public roads and electronic commerce platforms that advertise apocryphal products at lower prices and that took away billing from traditional commerce enabled” .
