CDMX.- Although he complied with the diplomatic gesture of arriving in Mexico through the Felipe Ángeles International Airport (AIFA), the President of the United States, Joe Biden, will not return to that terminal to take his plane back home.

According to the program released last night by the US Government, the President and his wife Jill Biden will board Air Force One at the Mexico City International Airport (AICM).

According to the itinerary, the Democrat and his entourage will take off from the Benito Juárez terminal at 5:52 p.m., bound for the Andrews US Air Force Base, located in Maryland.

The program of the Mexican Foreign Ministry also confirms that the US delegation will leave from “the Military Air Base No. 19 of the AICM”

On Sunday, Biden landed at the AIFA, at the request of the President of Mexico, Andrés Manuel López Obrador.

Both toured the facilities of the terminal located in the State of Mexico, aboard the armored vehicle known as “La Bestia”.

On the way, the man from Tabasco explained to Biden the “political” importance of having arrived at that airport, the controversy surrounding its construction and the cancellation of the one that was being built in Texcoco “on a lake.”

That same night, Air Force One was transferred to the AICM and sheltered in the presidential hangar, waiting to be boarded this Tuesday by Biden and the officials accompanying him.
