We recently reported that Microsoft wants to curtail its Bing built-in AI assistant to imposing a limit of five chat rounds per session before Bing prompts you to start a new topic to avoid long back and forth Avoid chat sessions. More than five rounds had previously often led to Bing giving crude answers for some users. There should also be a maximum of 50 chat runs per day for normal users.

Microsoft is still in the discovery phase and continues to rely on feedback from the first users of the assistant. And after the introduction of the first restrictions, those people wanted to be able to have longer chats again. We are currently working on making this possible again, but the whole thing will be gradually expanded. So there are now a maximum of six chat runs per session, a maximum of 60 a day. However, the goal is to reach 100 chats in the future, depending on the feedback. In addition, with this change, normal search queries should no longer be counted towards the total number of chats.
