news culture Bleach: the end of the ordeal for fans? Disney+ finally gives anime news

While in many countries the broadcast of the first course of the anime Bleach: Thousand Year Blood War has just ended, French fans, among others, still do not have access to these episodes. A situation that could soon change as Disney+ has just shared a new message of hope.

Bleach hostage

Ten years after the end of the first anime, Bleach returned to the limelight last year with the release of the anime Thousand Year Blood-War, the adaptation of the final arc of Tite Kubo’s manga. Still overseen by the Pierrot studio, this new anime is nevertheless much more remarkable than in the past. Dantesque fights and high-flying animation: the first course of this new adaptation definitely marked the year 2022.

With one thing said. Available in Japan and other international countries, this first burst of episodes is still not available in France. A real problem, caused by Disney+ which owns the broadcasting rights for the Thousand Year Blood War arc and has still not broadcast these episodes. The platform has disappointed anime fans on several occasions by not respecting simulcast broadcasting (in parallel with Japanese broadcasting). Nevertheless, Bleach may be coming soon. And it’s Disney + in person who says so.

The end of Calvary?

It’s January 2023, the thirteenth and final episode of the first part of the Thousand Year Blood War arc aired last December 27, Part 2 is coming next July., and yet, all Bleach fans around the world have not yet had the chance to see these first thirteen episodes. In France, Disney+ must broadcast the anime. And while the platform seems to finally be launching into the simulcast with the release of Tokyo Revengers season 2, we still wonder where Bleach is hiding. It took a Twitter user once again asking for anime news to get any.

Disney + has finally addressed the fans by declaring “working” on the arrival of Bleach. Always complicated to see more clearly, but the platform at least gives news while maintaining the status quo so far. More information should follow in the future, but no doubt the giant has already alienated many fans of Japanese animation. We hope at least one arrival before the release of part 2, in order to discover it in simulcast this time. And we also hope that this news is indeed about the Thousand Year Blood War arc and not just the previous adaptations.
