Beat the Star concept
Beat the Star is a game show that pits two celebrities against each other in different games. The goal: to win as many tasks as possible in order to “beat” the opponent.
From physical challenges to mental tasks, each game offers a unique opportunity to earn points and achieve victory.
The motivation is great: the winner can expect prize money of 100,000 euros.
Since Season 8, “Beat the Star” has been hosted by Elton. Ron Ringguth has been commenting on the games since season 11. The show will be recorded in Cologne and broadcast live.
“Schlag den Raab” was so successful that the producers also sold the idea to foreign television stations
The concept of the show “Schlag den Star” is based on the original show “Schlag den Raab”. comedian and presenter Stefan Raab competed against non-prominent applicants on live TV. The candidate was able to collect half a million euros in prize money. If the candidate loses, the sum increases by 500,000 euros for the next show.
In 2012 there was a record amount: After a 14-month winning streak by Stefan Raab, the winning sum was a proud 3.5 million euros. The 27-year-old farmer Bernd Stadelmann won the premium.

“Beat the Star” lets the celebrities measure their skills in classic sports such as table football, darts, table tennis, air hockey, billiards and archery. Or in more unusual variants such as bumper car ball, car basketball, beachminton.
The arcade games and skill challenges are particularly entertaining and look a lot easier than they actually are.
