Juan Francisco Sosa, 33, a Brownsville resident, was accused of causing injuries to his father, for which he was admitted to the Carrizalez Rucker Detention Center, reported Eric Garza, Cameron County Sheriff.

Sosa was subsequently detained and placed under arrest.
