Not only did he offer that nod to the idol and vice president of the club, Juan Román Riquelme, but he also remembered the fans: “I came here because I wanted to play for such a big club.”
The Paraguayan defender arrived in Argentina this Monday, underwent a medical check-up and signed with Boca for three years, until December 2025.
In his presentation to the press, he thanked the Football Council and explained his decision: “I spoke with my family and I wanted to be here.”
The footballer is 30 years old and since the 2016/2017 season he has been playing for América in Mexico, from where he arrived free.
In a press conference accompanied by President Jorge Amor Ameal and Mauricio Serna, he indicated: “I had the possibility of Cruzeiro, but I talked about it with my family, I wanted to be here and I was able to fulfill it. I am proud. I will work to be at the height of what the club is”.
