In the midst of the internal tussle suffered by the PRO, due to the elections and the definition of candidates, Patricia Bullrich added another problem linked to political campaigns.

The General Inspectorate of Justice (IGJ) resolved this Monday to “judicially intervene” the foundation chaired by Patricia Bullrich, the Institute for Strategic Security Studies (IEES).

As explained by the authorities, the decision was made for having “structured a system of income and expenses” intended to “finance” actions of “political proselytism” through “seminars, lunches and/or contributions.”

In addition, from the IGJ the Department of Judicial Affairs was entrusted with promoting “immediately” a judicial action of intervention against the institute requiring the displacement of the members of its board of directors.

On the C5N screen, in the Argenzuela program, they explained that after investigating the monetary movements and activities of its managers in 2022, the IGJ determined that activities “presumably legal in origin” were deployed but that their purpose is “the economic support of a political campaign of national projection”.

“Under the protection of a non-profit legal entity, a system of income and expenses has been structured to finance -in whole or in part- actions of political proselytism, in clear contradiction with the authorized corporate purpose,” he stressed.

In addition, he pointed to the millionaire amounts that the IEES received for “seminars, lunches and/or contributions” and the payments for “travels” -which are related to Bullrich’s political agenda- and invoices issued to “political consultants” close to the campaign of the head of the PRO.
