The accused Alexandar J. (30; says himself his name is Andrea and he is 28 years old) apologized for his actions in the process. He happened to pass the house in the villa district and saw an open window. Then he got into the house through the garage. “I saw things in the bathroom by the sink,” he says.

He grabbed his watch and chain and climbed out of the same window. The motivation for the act was a financial squeeze, he says, and claims to have a sick child. He then sold the loot in Belgium for around 10,000 euros. He didn’t see anyone in the Pochers’ house.

Amira: “I’ve had a huge panic ever since.”

Amira Pocher said visibly excited and moved in the trial against the alleged burglar: “I haven’t had a quiet night since then!” Her two sons (then 1 and 2), the nanny, Amira’s brother and a friend were in the house when the stranger got in. At that time, the children had just been made ready for bed on the ground floor. yourself and Olivier had been out and got home around 10 p.m.

“I then saw that my jewelry was not there in the bathroom. And there were open jewelry boxes on the bed,” says Amira. “I called Olli and asked him what he did with my jewelry.” A watch that was worth 35,000 euros, Cartier earrings and a chain were stolen.

“I don’t care about the objects anymore. But the fear is bad. I’ve been panicking ever since. Every sound makes my heart race. That’s why I have cameras everywhere now.” She is relieved, says Amira, that it wasn’t her house and that the person doesn’t know where she and her family really live. Luckily, your children would not have noticed the burglar.

In March, the family moved early back to their own home not far away, although the house wasn’t finished yet. “We didn’t want to stay there after the burglary,” says Amira.

The insurance company reimbursed her 50,000 euros, the value of the jewelry was 69,000 euros.

Oliver: The burglary was no coincidence…

Oliver Pocher emphasized in court that he doubted that the perpetrator happened to be in the neighborhood. “You need tools to get to the garage.” He assumes that the area was looked out for by the perpetrator or several.

The accused has been in custody for around three and a half months. He was transferred based on a DNA trace. Now the court has pronounced the verdict: the burglar has to go to prison for one year and six months.
