Surprisingly, Nico Schlotterbeck has recently been training with the ball again after tearing his muscle fiber.
Borussia Dortmund coach Edin Terzic confirmed at today’s press conference that Schlotterbeck “pain free” may be. However, the 23-year-old is not yet an option for the weekend.
Therefore, Niklas Süle’s injury comes at an inopportune time. Schlotterbeck’s partner in the defense center is working on “muscle problems in the rear thigh”, says Terzic. Süle has not yet been able to train with the team this week. His use in Stuttgart is questionable, but not impossible.

If Süle fails, Terzic has to put together a complicated defensive puzzle. Mats Hummels, only a substitute until Schlotterbeck’s failure, is now set. A potential partner is being sought. Terzic mentioned two names in this context: the regular six Emre Can and Soumaïla Coulibaly.
Coulibaly moved from Paris St. Germain to Dortmund two years ago, but has only played once in the Champions League for professionals since then. Numerous injuries slowed down the 19-year-old Frenchman again and again. But now Coulibaly is according to Terzic “Long pain free” and “increases in the third division”.
The left-footed player has appeared there 15 times so far this season for BVB’s second deputy. Now, after almost three years of waiting, he may be looking forward to his first assignment in the Bundesliga.
