While Microsoft reassures everyone about the permanence of Call Of Duty on Nintendo consoles, Jason Schreirer of Bloomberg returns to the fray with new rumors about the characteristics of the next iteration of the series activision.

According to what was revealed by Schreirer, Call Of Duty 2023 would be originated as a premium expansion to Modern Warfare II, transforming over time into a stand-alone title including single-player campaign and maps/modes already seen throughout the series. In short, although it does not keep its denomination, COD 2023 will act as one direct continuation of Modern Warfare 2 and will once again be taken care of by the guys at Sledgehammer Games.

The release of this title, adds the journalist, should take place during the fall of this yeareven if at the moment we are obviously talking about simple rumors without any official confirmation.

These new rumors therefore seem to confirm the latest rumors on the release of Call Of Duty 2023 which spoke of a launch scheduled for Novemberafter an intense public testing session in the first weeks of October.

As for the platforms, it seems that Call Of Duty 2023 will be released on both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, continuing the line of multi-generational support carried out in the last period by Activision.
