Since its release, Overwatch 2 has not been immune to bugs: we recall, for example, the ability to glitch under the map using Sombra. This time it’s D.Va’s turn who, apparently, is stronger than ever thanks to a rather useful “hidden” ability.

Thanks to the YouTuber KarQ and his latest video “Overwatch 2 Mythbusters” we discover that Pilot D.Va (or Baby D.Va) maintains the passive ability of the Tanks even when he is outside his robot. For those not aware of this news, unlike the first game Overwatch 2 includes passive skills depending on the role, be it support or tank. In the case of the latter, the recoil is reduced by granting greater resistance to the character, thus avoiding environmental kills.

If you observe D.Va’s reaction to Lucio’s Sound Wave, as shown in the video, the resistance when outside the MEKA form remains the same; in contrast, Tracer is pushed further away from Lucio. How can this “hidden” ability make Baby D.Va stronger? Quite simply, the chances of killing her by pushing her off the map are decreased quite drastically.

Maybe Activision Blizzard, upon viewing this movie, will change D.Va’s stats depending on its shape. For the moment this solution still seems distant, since the developers have not recognized it as a bug or an actual problem related to the balancing of the heroes, but the changes are always around the corner.

Earlier this month, however, the same team behind OW2 unveiled long-term plans for the release of the heroes.
