The gaming community of call of dutyis immersed in the frenetic games of the video game most recent of the franchise with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Y Warzoneso adapting to the new modifications of these installments is something that each player must experience if they come from any of the previous ones.

Something that we find quite striking is that Call of Duty maps have long been the basis of an enjoyable multiplayer experience. Those of Modern Warfare 2 are very varied. Cool environments like Mercado Las Almas and Crown Raceway are offset by frustrating maps like Taraq and Santa Seña Border Crossing.

It’s nothing especially new in CoD for players to have maps they prefer and maps they’d rather avoid. However, many installments in Activision’s FPS series have included map voting as a pre-match feature. It typically allows players in the lobby to vote for one of the two multiplayer maps, or opt for a random third option.

Modern Warfare 2 does not have that feature and many players are pointing it out as a problem. In a Reddit post on December 22, a player asked the developers to add a map voting system, highlighting the fact that players frequently quit when entering unwanted maps.

Specifically, they attached a meme joking that a large number of players instantly leave a lobby when choosing Santa Seña Border Crossing. It has long been criticized as one of the worst maps in Modern Warfare 2. Players leaving causes a lot of problems. It can take a long time to find new players and break existing lobbies that were nice.

Many agreed and wondered why such a standard feature had not been included. One of them said: “I find it crazy that a game that has cost billions of dollars does not include features that previous Call of Duty had over 15 years ago.” Another commented: “I’ll never understand why CoD abandoned the map voting system and why I can’t just have a normal looking lobby like the good old days of Modern Warfare 2.”
