CUERNAVACA, Mor. (proceso.com.mx).–Former Foreign Minister Marcelo Ebrard Casaubon, aspiring to head the National Coordination of the Committees for the Defense of the Fourth Transformation, said during his stay in Cuernavaca that the other corcholatas “are thinking” about the idea of ​​participating in a debate as he himself proposed, in addition to affirming that he “is winning” the contest and ruled out friction with his colleagues.

An hour late, due to a blockade on the Mexico-Cuernavaca Highway caused by a car accident, the also former head of the Government of Mexico City, arrived in the vicinity of the Adolfo López Mateos market, the largest in the state, located in the heart of Cuernavaca and before the media he assured that he will give continuity to the 4T.

In a brief interview, he recounted the achievements of the administration of Andrés Manuel López Obrador in these five years of government, and recalled that he has followed and supported him since the year 2000. He assured that he is winning in the contest for the Coordination of the Committees for the Defense of the Fourth Transformation, and maintained that their proposals are being taken into account.

Regarding the idea of ​​holding a proposal debate, he said that the other applicants are thinking about it. “And did they accept transparency?”, he was asked. “Transparency is already an obligation that we all have, there we have to give a report,” he replied. “But they have not accepted your proposal of 5 million,” he was insisted. “Of course, if everyone has already accepted it,” he replied. “And Adam Augustus did not say that he did not accept,” he was reminded. “Ah, well, I don’t know about him, but the others do,” he replied with a laugh.

On the tour that began at the Mercado López Mateos, he said that as a child he came to that supply center “to buy sandals.” He was accompanied by business leaders, including Emilio Rosas Rico, who told the reporter that they are going with Marcelo Ebrard in this contest. The eternal candidate for governor of Morelos, for the PRI, David Jiménez González, who until last month was Mexico’s ambassador to Honduras, also appeared.

“Here we are accompanying Marcelo, because he is going to continue the transformation of the country,” said the former magistrate of the Federal Tax Court, among other charges. Between shouts of “president, president”, Marcelo Ebrard stumbled around the market stalls. He promised to make a strong investment in the supply center in the future, despite the rule of not making proposals.

Later, he visited the building of the old railway station in Cuernavaca, which is now occupied by the Benning Music Academy, there he witnessed a small recital by the students. After noon she presided over a meeting in one of the roundabouts of the Antonio Barona neighborhood, one of the most populated and popular in Cuernavaca. “We are going to be visiting the popular neighborhoods, because those people are the ones who have supported us, the ones who represent us the most,” said the former chancellor.

It is worth mentioning that one of the people who accompanied him on the tours this Sunday was David Jiménez González, who until June 1 served as Mexico’s ambassador to Honduras, but has now resigned to accompany the Ebrard process. Whoever was a senator and magistrate of the Federal Tax Court, and a lifelong PRI member, said he was convinced that he was the only one who could continue the transformation started by López Obrador.
