The members of the Algerian diaspora have just faced a new tragedy. Indeed, following a signal received from the inhabitants of the Parc-Extension district, in Montreal, the police intervened following an altercation in one of the buildings in this district.
Arrived on the spot, the members of the police made the discovery of a young man, aged 23, with injuries to his arm. But also of the soulless body of Louisa O, a 24-year-old Algerian mother. Especially in the apartment she shared with her daughter.
Algerian mother found dead in Montreal apartment
This macabre discovery was made on February 19. According to the Canadian press, the aggressor of the young man of 23 years is none other than the daughter of Louisa, aged 26, who was subsequently arrested. The first elements of the investigation revealed that the victim was stabbed to death. The presence of traces of violence on the body of this Algerian mother has also been reported.
For the moment, Amel B is the main suspect in the murder of her mother. As part of the investigation launched in his subject, and following the arrest of the latter, a psychiatric expertise was required. In this wake, this main suspect, with a psychiatric history, was transferred to the National Institute of Forensic Psychiatry Philippe-Pinel. And this, to spend 30 days under the supervision of psychiatric experts.
The investigators continue the investigations, to confirm the thesis of the murder. As for the injured young man, he was transferred to the hospital, his life is no longer in danger. In addition, Amel B, the main suspect, will be back in court on March 22.
