There was an accident in Hohenems on Monday morning.

On Monday at around 10.25 a.m., a 74-year-old car driver drove his vehicle on Goethestrasse in Hohenems in the direction of the Graf-Maximilian-Strasse intersection. He stopped in the area of the intersection because of the traffic sign “Give priority” and first let a bus coming from the right (from the direction of Schlossplatz) pass. The driver then turned left into Graf-Maximilian-Straße and may have overlooked the bus coming from the left (from the direction of the train station).

The two vehicles then collided. There was significant damage to the bus. The car involved is believed to have been totaled. Two passengers on the bus suffered minor injuries in the collision. The injured went independently to the LKH Hohenems for further clarification. An alcohol test carried out on both drivers involved was negative.
