The police in North Rhine-Westphalia diligently asked the autoposer scene to pay up on Good Friday: During traffic controls, more than 4,300 warnings were collected and 2,200 administrative offenses were reported, said a spokesman for the NRW Ministry of the Interior at the request of the German Press Agency.

In Essen, the police had cleared a parking lot where 1,500 autoposers had gathered with their vehicles. In Herne, the police were on a large scale because 600 cars had gathered in a parking lot not far from the A43.

The nationwide balance was well above the level of the previous year, when on Good Friday, which is written by the autoposer scene with a C and a hyphen, a good 3,600 fines were issued and 1,600 reports of administrative offenses were made. (dpa)
