Carnival in Hörbranz

On February 18, 2023, the Saturday of Carnival, the municipality of Hörbranz was all about the fifth season. At 1.30 p.m. the well-known family parade was started with a cannon salute. Many kindergarten groups, the Leiblachtal music school, the Hörbranzer Berger Harlekins, the Lochauer Bäumler und Berger, the Howilarrutschbugglar, the Hörbranz music club, the Guggamusik Harmony from Lochau and the Flachshuilar Gugge Sonthofen, who particularly attracted attention with their elaborate costumes, took part in the parade. As a conclusion, the Leiblacher Fetzahexa drove the last parade participants. Numerous Mäschgerle lined the main street and applauded the colorful procession. Carnival was then extensively celebrated on the village square. The young carnival fans could pass the time at play stations and in the gym and regain strength at the robber baron stand. The offers for children and the hot dogs are free in Hörbranz. The reigning royal couple presented their show again on the village square, the shawms and the Gugga music played on the stairs. The adults were treated to delicious food and drinks at the catering stands run by local clubs. A perfect carnival afternoon with fantastic weather and warm temperatures. Those who still haven’t had enough of the hustle and bustle on the village square can continue partying in Hörbranz. The Leiblachtaler Schalmeien invited to the legendary after-move party at the Leiblachtalsaalbar. There the young and young at heart carnival and party animals could dance to the cool sound of DJ HONZZ and DJ Minimi and feel the bass. After the parade, the carnival regents paid their respects to their musical companions, the Leiblachtaler Schalmeien, at their mega party. A visit to the carnival and radio guild in Ruggburg was also important to the royal couple. In Hell 2.0, the prince show was performed and the coveted prince orders were awarded. But that’s not all. For Princess Simone and Prince Hubert, the latter himself an active firefighter, it was a matter close to the heart to personally thank the blue light organizations who did their public service on this carnival Saturday. In the Hörbranz fire station, the two thanked the members of the fire brigade, police and rescue services and presented their prince medals. After the last performance, the royal couple and their entourage were delighted with the successful day and the numerous children and little girls who celebrated carnival with them.
