Yannick Carrasco is pushing for a transfer to FC Barcelona. According to ‘Sport’, the 29-year-old has already submitted his transfer request to the management at Atlético Madrid and talks are ongoing. However, the club from the capital has so far stood in the way. The Belgian is said to find his way to Catalonia as part of an exchange with Barça’s Memphis Depay (28). Thomas Lemar (27), meanwhile, is out of the question for the Blaugrana.

Carrasco has played for Atlético since 2015, with the exception of a two-year stint with the Chinese first division club Dalian Professional. In the current season, the winger is a regular player and has made 23 competitive appearances, in which he contributed four goals and two assists. His contract runs until 2024.
